3D Design Engineer, Aquaculture
We are looking for an experienced 3D Design Engineer to join our engineering team, working on the design and development of subsea tanks used in fish farming (aquaculture) operations. You will play a key role in designing robust, high-performance structures intended for demanding marine environments, contributing from concept through to detailed design and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed drawings of subsea tanks and related structures for aquaculture applications.
- Design structural components with a focus on strength, durability, and performance in subsea/marine conditions.
- Work with composite materials in design and specification, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams throughout the design process.
- Manage design data and structure using PDM/PLM tools such as Autodesk Vault.
- Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement of design processes and methods.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with industry and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Relevant education within mechanical/structural engineering, naval architecture, or similar (Bachelor's or Engineering degree).
- Proven experience in 3D design/CAD software such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
- Experience from the aquaculture or subsea industry is highly desirable.
- Experience working with composite materials is an advantage.
- Familiarity with data management systems such as Autodesk Vault or similar.
- Strong communication skills in English, with Norwegian being a plus.
