Design & Application Engineer -- Electrical Systems
Wellgrab fishing solutions is a Stavanger-based department at Welltec Technology Center Stavanger, specializing within the oil and gas industry with innovative wireline fishing tools for well intervention.
Wellgrab’s technology pairs digital capabilities with a versatile, multi-functional fishing tool to execute safer and more cost-effective fishing operations. The global energy technology company Welltec fully acquired Autentik (Wellgrab) in February 2023, further expanding the reach of Wellgrab’s solutions in the international intervention market.
Job Description
- Design and build technology from ideas to commercial products ready for offshore service.
- Work with calculations and 3D modeling on a daily basis.
- Support firmware, software development and updates.
- Manufacturing drawings and production follow up.
- Support operations with engineering requirements.
- Testing and working out tool related documents.

Requirements
- You must hold an M.Sc. or B.Sc. within electrical engineering, mechatronics or a similar field.
- You should have 6-7+ years of relevant professional experience.
- You must be proficient with Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, and/or Catia.
- You need a multidiscipline understanding covering mechanical, hydraulic, and electro systems.
- Experience in product development for the Oil and Gas industry with expertise in downhole tools is required.
- You must be proficient in verbal and written Norwegian and English.
