About DNB
DNB is Norway's largest bank, serving more than two million customers every day. We provide a full range of financial services across personal banking, business banking, asset management, pensions, and more.
Our team
The Channel Capabilities tech family consists of three platform teams responsible for the shared foundations behind DNB's digital customer channels: Nucleus (web platform), Digital Platform (foundational capabilities), and Eufemia (design system). We're looking for experienced Software Engineers to join the Nucleus team.
What we build
Nucleus provides the core capabilities that enable modern web development across the bank. Our platform includes:
- A serverless runtime platform on AWS that composes independently deployed microfrontends.
- Frontend discovery and runtime orchestration services.
- Authentication and authorisation integrations.
- Shared tooling, libraries, and CI/CD workflows.
- Platform abstractions that support multiple brands, products, and markets.
As a Software Engineer, you will:
- Design, build, and evolve the shared capabilities that power DNB's web platform.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to shape platform direction.
- Take ownership of complex technical problems from design through implementation.
- Design scalable architectures spanning APIs, databases, caches, and cloud infrastructure.
- Continuously improve developer experience through tooling, automation, and CI/CD.
Requirements
- You have mid-level experience as a Software Engineer or Platform Engineer building and operating production systems at scale.
- You possess strong expertise in modern web development with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- You have a deep understanding of full-stack web architecture, including APIs, authentication, and performance optimization.
- You have experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- You have experience building shared platforms, developer tooling, or self-service capabilities for other engineering teams.
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or have equivalent practical experience.
