Join Knutsen OAS Shipping as Crewing Manager
Knutsen OAS Shipping is one of the world's leading operators within shuttle tanker and LNG transportation. With a fleet of more than 60 vessels and an ambitious newbuilding program, we are entering an exciting period of growth and development.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Crewing Manager to lead our Crewing department and ensure the recruitment, development, and support of highly competent seafarers across our fleet. As Crewing Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of crew management across our fleet, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, cost control, and recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Crewing department.
- Collaborate closely with Crewing Managers, Fleet Managers, and Vessel Superintendents.
- Prepare and manage annual manning budgets and monitor performance.
- Ensure compliance with crew matrix requirements for the fleet.
- Lead recruitment, promotion, and succession planning for officers and crew.
- Manage communication and negotiations with seafarers' unions.
- Participate in DOC, MLC, and TMSA audits.
- Responsible for OPEX reporting and follow-up.
Krav
- Degree in Human Resources, Management, Finance, or other relevant disciplines, or relevant maritime experience as Master or Officer.
- Proven experience from crewing operations within the maritime industry.
- Solid knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor-related matters.
- Strong understanding of MLC and maritime compliance systems (SMS).
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
